0️⃣ Summary

LLMWare is a no-code AI platform that integrates semantic & generative AI in a seamless business-driven workflow built for regulatory-Intensive Industries such as financial, legal, and compliance. LLMWare is built on top of llmware, an open source project that provides a framework for building LLM applications for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).

Through a partnership with Quira, LLMWare was able to expose their open source tool, llmware, to developers of different tech communities and explore different use-cases of their technology.

1️⃣ LLMWare + Quira

LLMWare's goal was to accelerate adoption of their product and continue feeding their growth momentum in the open source ecosystem. As an early-stage startup, they wanted to invest their time on building the business and product instead of organising a Hackathon themselves.

Quira helped LLMWare design and deploy an online, asynchronous Hackathon-style challenge through their creator quests product. Creator Quests are open source challenges that reward software developers for creating new GitHub repos that meet certain requirements.

During a Creator Quest, Quira prompts their 50,000+ community with a tailored challenge designed to help developers gain exposure to new tools and, at the same time, help our partners with their goals.

2️⃣ Quest #11: RAGs with LLMWare

LLMWare partnered with Quira to organise their 11th Creator Quest, titled "RAGs with LLMWare".

The challenge's prompt was to build original new apps that runs on top of llmware. Quira took care of designing the challenge, inviting participants, scoring the submissions, and processing the prizes and payments. Additionally, Quira organised a Q&A session in their Discord server to introduce LLMWare to the Quira community.

“Quira solves a very significant problem for startups in terms in getting not only marketing exposure, but getting “hands on keyboard”. Making hackathons streamlined and easy is awesome

3️⃣ Results

Around 4,000 developers in Quira’s community were introduced to LLMWare as a direct result of the Quest. During the course of the quest, LLMWare was able to collect over 500 GitHub stars from members of the Quira community.

“Quest was great for exploring use-cases. ... a number of participants were frontend developers. The fact that they were able to do stuff with LLMWare is a great signal, it means that LLMWare can be used by a more general audience.”

The collaboration yielded over 45 project submissions. After the Quest ended, LLMWare will do a secondary marketing push with 3-4 projects that they really like.

“LLMWare is a very horizontal technology, and people just take it and don’t know what they’re building with it. Thus, once the projects are done, we’re going to feature the Quira Quest winners in our Youtube Channel to bring awareness on what developers can do with LLMWare.”

🌈 Looking ahead

Through this creator quest, LLMWare was able to accelerate their growth in open source, explore new use cases, and validate that their product is so easy to use that even non-specialist AI developers can build with it.

In a future iteration LLMWare is interested to run a quest with a more specialised audience, or a similar one that captures new users. Quira and LLMWare are already brainstorming on a future collaboration to increase their user base. 🤝
